Snap-On Equipment Donates New Alignment System to UACCM Auto Service Program

Snap-on Equipment delivered two John Bean Visualiners 4-wheel alignment systems to the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Auto Service Technology Program in January.

The addition of this new equipment will give our students a learning advantage as it is technology that is being used to in the auto service industry today. Having access to this new system will give them an edge when entering the workforce. Snap-on representative, Sherman Paul said of the new alignment systems, “All-wheel alignment steps from start-to-finish are clearly shown with animations and graphics to provide a faster, easier to learn wheel alignment procedure”. As part of their donation, Snap-on is including tuition-free enrollment for up to four UACCM instructors to be trained on the new equipment once each year for the next five years.

“The relationships we build and the donations we receive from our industry partners, like Snap-on Equipment, are what keep our programs competitive”, said Auto Service Technology instructor Bobby Duvall. As a state supported institution, UACCM’s budget doesn’t always allow for the most advanced technology in our shops and classrooms, donations like this one expose our students to new systems and also better prepare them for what they can expect to encounter after graduation.
