Third Annual Madrigal Feaste, Nov. 29, 30, and Dec. 1

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Music and Theatre Departments will present their third annual Madrigal Feaste.  Performances are Nov. 29, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at the UACCM Plaza.  Doors open at 6:00 each evening and shows begin at 6:30.

The feaste will include a meal of smoked chicken, roasted potatoes, steamed broccoli, fresh baked rolls and rum raisin bread pudding.  Tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance.  Tickets are available at the student accounts window of the C. Nathan Crook University Center on the UACCM campus.

Music Instructor Shannah Cummings encourages the community to attend this year’s feaste.  “Come join us and be transported to the court of a Renaissance King!  It will be an evening of great food, Christmas carols, and theatrical entertainment,” she said.  “This event is a welcomed escape from the busyness of the Christmas season.”

New this year is the collaboration between the music and theatre departments at UACCM to make the Madrigal Feaste an even more memorable part of the holiday season to all who attend.  There will be a carol concert by the UACCM choir in addition to a short play presented by the theatre ensemble.  The candlelit setting, cheerful décor, familiar music, and entertaining theatre will help patrons relax and enjoy the start of the Christmas season.

Proceeds from this event will support the UACCM Music and Theatre Departments.  Several organizations throughout the community have shown their support of the arts at UACCM through their sponsorship of the Madrigal Feaste, including Arkansas Equipment Manufacturing, Arvest Bank, El Penjamo, First Financial Bank, Haynes Home Center, Merle Norman and More, New Release Rentals and Games, Rackley Furniture, and Wayne Smith Trucking.
