STARLIGHT CINEMA IS BACK WITH 'JURASSIC PARK'

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton announces plans for “Starlight Cinema,” a free outdoor community movie night. The event will feature “Jurassic Park” Tuesday, September 17, beginning at dusk on the lawn near the Plaza courtyard on the UACCM campus.

Attendees should bring blankets or lawn chairs. Morrilton Boy Scout Troop 93 will manage a concession stand at the event as a fundraiser to help offset costs for the Quapaw Area Council Fall Camporee. The concession stand will open by 7:30 p.m. and will have Coke products, bottled water, popcorn, and candy for sale. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved indoors.

“Jurassic Park” is a 1993 Universal Studios film directed by Steven Spielberg. The science fiction adventure movie is set on Isla Nublar, home to a wildlife park full of cloned dinosaurs. When security systems are shut down, the park’s visitors are left with few defenses against the dangerous predators. The film is rated PG-13 and may not be suitable for younger viewers.

UACCM provides accommodations in the spirit of equalizing opportunity in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act, including all amendments. If you have an accommodation need for any UACCM event or service, please contact Counseling Services at 501- 977-2095.

The community is encouraged to attend this free event. For more information about “Starlight Cinema,” contact Courtney Stell by email at stell@uaccm.edu or by calling 501-977-2142.
