UACCM NIGHT OF LUMINARIES DEC. 3

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton invites the community to its 13th annual Night of Luminaries, Thursday, Dec. 3, following the Morrilton Christmas parade.  This free, family-friendly event is expected to start around 6:00 p.m. or as soon as Santa Claus can make his way from the parade to UACCM.

The Timberwolf Crossing Walking Trail will be lined with more than 1,300 luminary bags, decorated by Conway County children, and the community is invited to walk through to view the artwork on the beautifully lit bags. Also enjoy cookies and hot cocoa served by UACCM faculty and staff to all who attend the event.

Participating schools and organizations that helped in decorating luminary bags include Conway County Center for Exceptional Children, Morrilton Elementary, Morrilton Intermediate, Morrilton Primary, Nemo Vista Elementary, Sacred Heart Elementary, Wonderview Elementary, and Riverview Baptist Christian School.

Santa will also be available to visit with children and hand out gifts in the area between the Fine Arts Building and Business Technology Center at UACCM.  Families are invited to bring their camera to take pictures with Santa. Check the UACCM Facebook page for last-minute updates in the event of wintry weather in the forecast.
