UACCM Announces Upcoming Non-Credit Workforce Training Courses

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton has released its upcoming non-credit workforce and community education classes. If you are interested in getting an insight into a new career or wanting to learn a new skill, then attend a summer workforce training class. These low-stress courses range across several disciplines and can be taken for fun or as a way to find some career direction.

Following are the classes and their dates:

Career Exploration Explosion is offered June 13 through June 16 and July 18 through July 21 from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. This program is open to high school students who have completed 8th through 12th grade and is free to participants.

Creative Writing is offered June 6 through June 9 for students who have completed 7th or 8th grade and July 5 through July 7 for students who have completed 9th and 10th grade. It will meet from 9:00 a.m. – noon, and the registration fee is $70.00

Farm Welding is open to anyone 18 and older. This class will be offered May 23 through June 2 from 7:00 a.m. to noon and the registration fee is $450.00. This fee must be paid in full prior to May 16.

Basic Automotive Electrical is offered June 6 through June 9 from 8:00 a.m. – noon. Open to anyone 16 and older, the registration fee is $40.00.

“Behind the Buttons” basic surveying course is offered May 24 through May 26 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. This course is designed for those working as a surveying technician and the registration fee is $325.00.

Robots is open to students completing 6th through 8th grades from June 20 through June 23. Students completing 9th through 12th grades can enroll for the June 27 through June 30 class. Both sessions will meet from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and have a registration fee of $140.00.


The Nursing Assistant Training course is offered in three separate sessions: July 5 through August 11, September 2 through October 5, and October 14 through November 16. The registration fee for this course is $175.00 and scholarships are available.

Basic HVAC Troubleshooting is offered July 5 through July 7 from 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. The registration fee for this course is $100.00 and the class can only hold up to 12 students so make sure to get your registration form in early.

Student Onboarding Due March 25

In preparation for Fall 2024 advising & registration, students should log into Workday and complete a series of tasks called Student Onboarding : Students should log in to Workday and complete these tasks:  Navigate to  myapps.microsoft.com  in a web browser.  Log in with your UACCM email and password when prompted. You may also be prompted to authenticate using an authenticator app or secure code.  A dashboard with multiple apps will display. Locate the blue app titled “Workday” and select it.  You are now logged into Workday!  Once logged in, you will do the Federal Student Aid Authorization and then complete My Tasks .  This will include such things editing your contact information (if necessary), editing your personal information (if necessary), adding My Friends and Family (emergency contact information), and other tasks. When entering your My Friends and Family information, you must select Emergency Contact as one of the relationship types or you will get an error message .

UACCM Eclipse Parking

  The following guidelines apply to any vehicles parked on the UACCM campus at 8:00 a.m. on Monday. FOR VISITORS VIEWING ECLIPSE:  Purchase an eclipse parking pass for $100 from the either of the tents located on University Boulevard  (🟧 on map). You are allowed to park anywhere in eclipse parking (blue on map). FOR STUDENTS VIEWING ECLIPSE:  You are allowed to park in eclipse parking (blue on map), free of charge. You must present a valid and current UACCM Student ID at either tent located on University Boulevard (🟧 on map). A UACCM campus parking pass is also required.  FOR STUDENTS CONDUCTING BUSINESS: You may park in the parking lot in front of the UC and BTC (pink on map). You must present a valid and current UACCM Student ID at either tent located on University Boulevard (🟧 on map). A UACCM campus parking pass is also required.

Get to know Miss UACCM 2023

  Earlier this month, Zaybrau Williams, from Dardanelle, was named Miss UACCM in the fifteenth annual Miss UACCM pageant.  Zaybrau was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the UACCM’s Chancellor’s Office, a floral bouquet courtesy of Plummer’s Flowers and Gifts, Morrilton, and gifts cards from Elia’s Mexican Grill, Morrilton, and Red Barn Market, Conway. Get to know Miss UACCM 2023, Zaybrau Williams, a little more. Why did you choose UACCM? I chose UACCM because of the community size and the various opportunities that are available to me. From being raised in a small community, UACCM felt like home. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming, it made choosing UACCM so easy. What are your educational and career goals?
