UACCM Workforce Training Offers Additional Basic Welding Course

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Department of Workforce Training and Community Education will offer an eight-week pre-employment basic welding training program.  The program will be held on the UACCM campus and will run from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. every Monday through Friday beginning July 25, 2016.
The cost of the program is $450 but there are scholarships available to those dislocated workers from the petroleum industry and to other dislocated/long-term unemployed individuals.  Classes will include Soft Skills, Hand Tool Safety, General OSHA Safety, Gas Metal Arc Welding or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, and OSHA 10-hour Certificate for General Industry.  There will also be a workshop on job searching and resumes.
